Updated my homepage: sitemap page, rounded corners

I added a new page to my homepage: SiteMap. I know my website does not really have much content but I found an awesome looking sitemap template and I had to play around with it.

Besides the additional page I applied some corner rounding and shadow to the main page and the footer.

Unfortunately the awesomeness can only be witnessed if you are using Firefox 3.5 or Safari.

If you don't like it let me know! We can work something out.

New template on FormulareUtile

I created a new free invoice template usable in Romania.
It can be downloaded from FormulareUtile in formats like Office 2007, PDF, RTF, Image etc. There is also a web page version.

Every document on the page can be downloaded, changed or used in any way you want for absolutely free. Enjoy them!

Feedback is most welcome. If you require a special format let me know and I will gladly convert the template and upload it.

New icons at MonoGlass

I have just added several new icons to my MonoGlass collection like auction(), cat(), gun(), light bulb(), scale() and others.

New project o' mine: MonoGlass

I have a new project. I wrote it for everyone who needs absolutely free 16x16 icons with customizable backgrounds. They mostly revolve around web development. The icons were created using only one color and on their first mission (allemania.ro) they had a glassy background: hence the name MonoGlass icons.

You can also save the image without the background by right clicking on it in the browser and selecting "Save image".

New homepage look

I have rearranged my homepage. Added a new skin, reorganized the content a bit, added contact page etc. The typography bothers me too but I would need a lot of time to make it uniform and I wanted to publish the site as quick as possible.

Every comment is welcome. I would very much appreciate ideas that help me make the site better.

Blog changes

I have tweaked my blogs's template HTML a bit: made the content 160 pixels wider, changed some colors, removed some page elements and a lot of other small changes.

Let me know if anything got broken in the process!

I found an office chair that I finally like.

What pisses me off is that you have to pay $1800-2800 to buy a chair that you like. If you don't have $2000 than you might as well sit on the ground here in Cluj-Napoca, because you cannot buy a normal chair in the stores.

Everyone wins

Jeff Atwood is right in his Death Threats, Intimidation, and Blogging article: if the author of a very popular, useful blog decides to close his/her blog, everybody looses.

I would like to complete his idea: a Transylvanian shitty blog author deciding to close his/her blog is a good thing. Everybody wins. The author does not have to spend 30 minutes a day squeezing out a post about some extremely small, unimportant aspect of his/her life trying to link to everyone else's page because they linked to him/her before.

Everyone else wins because they have the opportunity to write a post about how sorry they feel about the shitty blog author closing his/her blog and also mentioning that exactly that day they had a plumbing problem, they found their grandma's favorite wooden childhood pacifier behind the bed or how good it is to be a hippie.

I win because I no longer bump into their boooooring neohippie/gipsy blogs.
